A staple in Bahrain is the shwarma. My favorite spot is shwarma alley in Adliya.
For less than a couple BD, you can enjoy a hot, fresh shwarma (lamb or chicken), fries and a drink. I'm partial to a large chicken, with everything, spicey. I've noticed that the lamb usually isn't available until the evening time.
There are a couple places you can dine-in; however, shwarma alley is known for their drive-up, curb-side service.
Although this practice can be a bit nerve rattling for the novice, especially on a busy weeknight.
